Per data released by Israel, at least 98 Palestinians have perished while detained since October 2023. A human rights group operating from Israel has stated that the real number is likely substantially larger, as a result of hundreds of unaccounted for individuals in Gaza.

Civilian Casualties

Classified Israeli data suggests that the largest portion of Palestinian prisoners from Gaza who perished in prison were ordinary citizens, per a simultaneous inquiry.

In May of this year, a defense forces registry following all fighters in Gaza, a registry of over 47,000 listed people, recorded merely 21 fatalities in detention. By that point, 65 individuals from Palestine from Gaza had perished in prison.

Custodial Environment

Just one case of beating inmates has reached litigation, with the military personnel given a penalty to 210 days.
