Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.
At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.
Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.
Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets struck the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to repair systems.
A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.
Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.
Local officials said the urban area experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.
The attacks come after nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.
All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.
Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.
Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
