Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
